I stopped by real quick for the .01 item which was toilet paper this week. I also had some more Progresso coupons and wanted to take advantage of the Publix $5 off 20 deal.
Total Before Savings & Coupons $61.02
My Savings at Publix $58.76
Out of Pocket Spent $2.26
I Saved 97%
Basically I paid for the Ground Beef (was actually $2.61) and everything else was FREE!
Hi! I hope you don't think this is weird, but I live in Kennesaw/Acworth area. I think you might be around that are. If you are, I was wondering if I could go shopping with you one day or if you could sit down with me and help me shop like you do! I have three young children (3 year old and 1 year old twins) am a SAHM and want to cut our grocery cost so bad. I totally understand if you can't, and I will continue to follow your blog to figure out how I can do what you do! Thanks! Allison allisonhill26@yahoo.com
Allison, my advice to you is to visit southernsavers.com. She has all kinds of topics for beginners and she posts the store ads each week with the coupon matches. I started out paying to use thegrocerygame and soon discovered that her site was easier to use, the deals were posted much sooner each week + she also posts links to printables which are a big part of my coupons. The best part is her site is FREE! You could spend all day clicking around her site getting all sorts of tips and tricks to saving money. Good luck to you!
