Weekly Totals 2/20/10 - 2/26/10

I was out of town a few days this week and didn't shop as much as I usually do but think I got a great deal on the things I bought. I added a ton of soup to our stockpile as well as some canned veggies, and snacks for the kids.

Publix 2/24/10

Publix Round 2. My boys love Progresso soup and with baseball season starting, we can always use quick and easy meals that are fairly healthy. You sure can't beat the price! I used my remaining Oreo and Cakester coupons for more FREE cookies. I also had a $5 off $30 home mailer from Publix. I saved this for my Publix stores that don't accept the Rite Aid $5 off $25 coupons.

  • Total Before Savings & Coupons $128.79
  • My Savings at Publix $122.64
  • Out of Pocket Spent $6.15
  • $6.15 for 40 cans of soup, 2 bottles of salad dressing, 6 bags of cheese doodles, and 4 packs of cookies!

Publix 2/23/10

I could hardly wait for this trip to Publix. I had been plotting this trip since the "Sneak Peek" from iheartpublix.com  I was able to find the store coupon booklets that helped save major bucks on the bread, veggies and soup. I also found some of the Cakester coupons that made them free with the purchase of Oreos. I also had the Oreo coupons from the facebook promotion a couple of weeks ago. Funny thing about that, I registered for the coupon and I also registered for some family members as well. They all received theirs but mine never arrived. Go figure. lol  They gave them to me so everything worked out great especially when I found the Cakester tearpad.

This week was a super slow shopping week for me. I only went to Publix twice and didn't do any drug store trips. I was getting ready for an out of town trip over the weekend and plotting my "Viva Italia" trips for next week. (lol)

Weekly Totals 2/6/10 - 2/12/10

I had a snack food and cat food shopping week. I know it really looks like we eat a bunch of junk all of the time but we have been eating from our stockpile. I have been shopping like this for a year and a half so we have quite the selection in 2 pantries, 2 refrigerators, 3 freezers and shelves in the basement. Not to mention all of the cleaning supplies and personal care items stashed in various locations throughout the house . . lol!

  • Total Before Savings & Coupons $280.07
  • My Savings at Publix $231.80
  • Qualified for $10 Rebate - 10.00
  • Net Spent $38.27

  • (I actually only spent $7.73 out of pocket. The rest was paid for with RX transfer Gift Cards. I could have paid the $7.73 with a gift card but forgot all about it.)

Publix 2/11/10

I have been anticipating this particular BOGO since the $2.00 Goodlife coupon came out again. I immediately ordered 40 off of ebay since they don't expire until April I figured I had a pretty good chance of getting to use them. I really wasn't expecting it to come this soon but the timing was actually perfect! We were down to only 2 bags of cat food. I literally have not purchased ANY cat food since the last GoodLife BOGO at Publix. I did make 3 trips today and I PROMISE that I did not wipe them out of cat food. One store actually had a large display and end cap. I bet they knew about the $2.00 coupon and ordered extra. I used (1) $5 off $25 and (1) $5 off $20 Rite Aid coupon and used it towards a Toy Story blanket for my little helper who doesn't mind running in Publix multiple times for cat food! My other helper wanted the donuts and well the weather is calling for snow here in Georgia so I grabbed some bread too. lol  I have 12 more coupons so I will use them later in the sale so I can pair it with another $5 off $25!

  • Total Before Savings & Coupons $ 148.37
  • My Savings at Publix $137.61
  • Total Spent $10.76 . .  for 28 bags of cat food, 2 loaves of bread, some donuts and a blanket!

  • (I actually used an RX transfer Gift Card so I spent NOTHING out of pocket!)

Publix 2/9/10

I went back for some things before the ad changed this week and to pick up some rain checks for things they have been out of. I also found the Hallmark tear pads that I had been reading about on so many blogs. My store had about a dozen of them and they looked new so maybe they had just put them out. Too bad they are only good through 2/14/10.  I picked up a few .99 Valentines and looked through the other cards and couldn't find any more for .99. I was happy getting 9 greeting cards for FREE!

Publix 2/6/10

I call this my Super Bowl Sunday stock-up trip to Publix. I usually don't buy beer with my grocery budget but I "needed" this 12 pack of Coors Light so I could submit my $10 Rebate. lol  Yes, FREE beer! I cannot link to the Rebate Form it must have been taken down already, but to qualify you needed to buy $20 worth of Pepsi products and a 12 pack of Coors Light and you get $10 back via MIR (mail in rebate) I did the Pepsi deal at CVS a week or two ago so I just needed the beer to complete the requirements. I had coupons for the Velveeta that is BOGO this week and just above the shelf of Velveeta there was a tear pad for $1 off chips when you buy Velveeta so I scored each back of chips for only $1. The Helluva dip was FREE after my coupons!

  • Total Before Savings and Coupons $55.08
  • My Savings at Publix $37.35
  • Out of Pocket Spent $17.73
  • Mail in Rebate - $10.00
  • Net Cost After Rebate $7.73

Weekly Totals 1/30/10 - 2/5/10

This was another busy week of shopping. I loaded up on more cheese, FREE Ro-tel and FREE toilet paper. I'm not used to going to Kroger that often but I suspect I will get back to my normal Publix routine now that the Mega Sale is over.

Walgreens 1/31/10

I just realized that I hadn't posted this yet! This is my Walgreens haul from this week. I went to 3 different stores on Sunday and managed to find several of the Accu-Chek meters that were producing the $5 Register Rewards. They were on sale for $14.99, I had $10 off manufacturer coupons + I had the $5 off Walgreens coupon from the Diabetes magazine. This made the meters FREE + $5 Register Rewards. I also had 5 pieces of 'filler' candy (not pictured) since the coupons were more than the total price. I can't find my receipts to post the exact details but we can say that the meters produced $25 Register Rewards, (minus the cost of the 'filler' candy) I used the $25 Register Rewards towards the purchase of 6 packs of toilet paper that cost $4 each = $24.

So for the purpose of my weekly spending/savings calculations, I'm just going to say that I got $24 worth of toilet paper for FREE!

  • Spent $24
  • Saved $24
  • Out of Pocket $0

Kroger 2/4/10

My last trip to Kroger for the Mega Sale (and cheese lol) . . maybe. My regular store has been out of the Mozzarella cheese so I tried another store and hit the jackpot! They had the $1 off 2 blinkies. I only went in with enough coupons for 4 bags and I had planned to get some mac and cheese cups to reach my 10 items but decided to do the cheese instead since there were blinkies!

Publix 2/3/2010

My Publix store had the blinkie machine just above the BOGO Ro-tel and tons of the store coupons left so I could not pass up more FREE Ro-tel.  Now I just need some Velveeta from Publix this week now that the ad has changed and we will be all set for Super Bowl weekend.
